Sonesta Atlanta Airport North

We reported the issue to the front desk, and they moved us to another room. Unfortunately, while the second room was slightly cleaner, it still had problems—the door lock wasn’t working properly. We took photos and videos to document everything and showed them to management. Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance standards were far below what we expected. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel.

Charging $25 per day to park at a hotel you paid to stay at is crazy. Expedia should've Indicated that there was parking fee.

The service was great at the restaurant areas for meals but someone charged me for parking which I did not have a vehicle- that was corrected before check out- cleanliness was just ok- the room had dead bugs, the sheets had yellow stains, and there was lots of dust inside the room- staff was friendly for the most part but I will not return to that particular Sonesta!

Need better furniture

Stay away! Don't be fooled by the great pictures! I usually don't write reviews, but this time I felt compelled to help others avoid making the same mistake I did. I ended up staying at this property because hotel prices were sky high during the World Cup weekend we went. Spain won 4-0. Anyhow, the nightmare at "Widow's Island," a reference to a TV show on Apple TV, started when we arrived around midnight on June 18, and the check-in line was extremely long. Our check-in took about 30 mins. As it turns out, they had arranged with an airline to receive passengers from a delayed flight that night. Ok, I can understand that, but when we finally got to our room, the smoke alarm detector was beeping loudly next to our bed. I called the front desk several times throughout the night, and they didn't come to fix it until the next day. I don't know how we managed to sleep for a couple of hours. We should have left for another property, but as I said, prices were too high for the weekend. The next day, I went to make coffee and noticed that the machine was filthy inside with accumulated grime and God knows what else. Nonetheless, to top our frustration with this property, we were overcharged $75 for a parking facility we used for 1 hour. I am still disputing the overcharge and haven't heard back from them one week later. To be fair, the restaurant staff was very friendly and deserves a 'big thank you' for providing the only bright side of our stay. The airport shuttle is also a plus.

Overall the stay was nice, but as for the staff it was not so pleasant.

The place is very nice and clean as you enter the lobby. It’s welcoming.

Clean rand friendly staff. Close to the airport and plenty of close dining places.

Cleaning staff needs to do better with cleaning there were a family of fruit flies in my room and front desk provides poor customer service when it comes to communication for breakfast or any other amenities in the hotel.

Everything went well

The gates for the lot main entrance were not operable one of the couple nights I was there. This probably would not be a big issue if the drive entrance wasn’t so short, causing issue when having to back up to go to the other entrance.

Very nice upgraded rooms

Elevators were broken and only one was available. The line was super long for check in.

Stayed here recently and the room was disgusting, lots of stains on the carpet which was already dirty. Much of the staff clearly hated their jobs and were so dismissive. Only Nikia was friendly and accommodating- she should be in management. When I returned home got notified there was a charge for food from the restaurant there that I never went to. When calling to find out about the extra charge another front desk staff with an annoyed attitude told me she was sending up my request to management. I have not been to a Sonesta hotel before and never will again definitely not here. If you want to pay for bad customer service, fraudulent charges, and a dirty room this is the place.

Beware, do not stay at this hotel. Avoid it at all costs. The staff is completely unhelpful and uncaring. This place was a complete nightmare. The worst part was the uncaring staff. It seemed like they deal with unsatisfied guests all the time, so they treat all situations, regardless of how grave, as if it is everyday. No empathy from any of them, and a complete unwillingness to resolve issues.

I will return.
