Location was great as it was within walking distance to the railroad station and downtown. It’s also close to the River walk. Staff was very helpful.
-
Staff was professional and nice. Rooms clean, hotel close to train station.
-
The rooms were clean and there was ample parking. The breakfasts were fabulous
-
Dated rooms with odd chairs in room and old carpet throughout. No drawers in rooms and they allow dogs.
-
The rooms are clean but if you plan on staying here make sure your ok with a train horn blasting at all hours of he night.

Nice hotel that is a little run down. No chairs in the pool area and rust in the pool area. They are helpful and can store some fish overnight for you depending on size.
-
Decent hotel, walkable to downtown. Nice view on the river side. Train station close by, you do get used to the whistles quickly. Shuttle service to/from the airport

The location is ideal if you will be catching the train somewhere. For the price, around $350 per night, I would have expected maid service daily, and a bit updated decor. It appears that the hotel hasn't been updated in quite a few decades. The breakfast was very basic. Toast, bagels, cereal, powdered eggs, sausages, pancakes. Friday they had no butter, peanut butter or jellies for the toasted items.

My husband and I stayed at Wingate by Wyndham Anchorage Downtown/Ship Creek for only a few hours. We had traveled on the Alaska Railroad from Seward, so we didn't arrive in Anchorage until 10:15. We walked to the hotel from the RR depot (their shuttle was at the airport and couldn't pick us up) and waited a bit to check in, reminding the front desk clerk that we needed the airport shuttle at 3 a.m. for an early flight out of Anchorage. Our room was fine, and after we slept for a few hours, the hotel shuttle brought us to the airport on time as promised. I had chosen this property because of its proximity to the RR depot and its free shuttle to the airport, so it was perfect for our needs. Too bad we didn't get a chance to partake of the complimentary breakfast.

Great location if you’re looking to stay close to downtown. The creek out back and trains made for some fun walks around while exploring the area. The hotel was ok for a place to stay but overall pretty dated and dirty… the dated I can handle, but the dirty was a bit frustrating after paying almost 400 dollars for 1 night. One of the beds was missing a top sheet, lots of dirt in the windowsill, seemed like they hadn’t done more than a spot cleaning in a while. We requested a pack and play for our toddler but the staff said they only had one and they couldn’t find it anywhere. The staff was nice enough and tried to be accommodating but I feel like the hotel doesn’t have the proper resources and needs a huge update. The airport shuttle service is very slow, we were told a half hour and waited for an hour and 10 mins and ended up calling an uber. The front desk lady felt bad and allowed us to have an early check in at no cost which was really nice after traveling with a toddler. The breakfast is not great, but they have complimentary coffee and tea 24 hrs which is nice. If you’re looking for a quick 1 night stop, this place is just fine, but I would look elsewhere if you are staying longer.

Spent one night. Hotel seems to be under renovation and updating. We had a beat up, non functioning hot tub in the bathroom. No shower curtain and hair from previous guests. They did send someone to sanitize. Two chairs in the room. One was a plastic patio chair and another was fake leather with all the “leather” peeled off the seat. Police came three times to deal with two drunken men who would pass out on sidewalk and benches. Third trip, one showed up with a head injury bleeding all over entryway. Ambulance took him away finally. Next morning, blood was still there with some was poured on it.

The outlet by the sink didn’t work & never got fixed. The air conditioner was dirty & didn’t work. The room darkening curtains didn’t cover the window which was terrible during the summer solstice!

Would not recommend... I left after one night. No refund given for second night. Breakfast ended at 9am.
-
Th hotel needs a refresh. Many area were not well maintained. We had to walk from the train to the hotel with all our luggage because they only have one shuttle that services 2 hotels. We did have a shuttle on time to the airport.
-
Breakfast was low quality. Property was not clean & far from any restaurant & businesses.
-
Everything in the room was ok except the remote tv because it’s broken can’t watch any other channels. The pool water is cold, my kids can’t have fun in the pool because the water is too cold for them and the bathroom is nasty and dirty. Everything look so old and disgusting.

Good location, rooms were clean but there was odor to them. We stayed in 2 different rooms during our trip, and they both smelled like corn ships or dirty sneakers. The breakfast amenity was great and well stocked every morning. The breakfast staff were exceptional. There was always fresh water at the front desk. Great parking and just a short walk to town, shopping and restaurants. Rooms overlooking the creek are cool but very noisy; there were fisherman and families there almost constantly so if you are looking for quiet not the best location. The train also goes off every few hours and is right next door so it's loud. The staff was hit or miss some great (men) and others were inconvenienced by you checking in and out (women). The hotel is not maintained the best but that seems to be anchorage's theme. Overall, we did enjoy are stay and thought it was a great value for the price. We will stay there again if we decide to come back.

Older facility. Out-dated bathrooms. Non-functional exhaust fan in bathroom.
