Great stay!

Staff was amazing
-
I like the property. The staff was very nice. The toiletries the offered in the shower were great. The floors and night stands were very dusty and the rooms were basic similar to a hospital room and the beds were hard.

Breakfast options for guests with the included breakfast package were quite limited. I'm not sure what was happening on that side, but the selection did not meet expectations.

The hotel is perfectly fine, clean, well-appointed- the staff is not very accommodating. We pulled into valet, and the valet manager (surprisingly) didn’t say a SINGLE word to us. No “welcome to the hotel, are you checking in, etc.”, nothing. The girl at the front desk asked if we would be valeting the car, and I told her I would like to but the man outside hadn’t said a word to us. She said he was just quiet. Ok, strange, but ok. Then we went down to dinner at Smokehouse Abilene. We stood at the host stand for 10 minutes without anyone there. My husband had to walk and find someone to seat us? Our waitress was wonderful, the food was meh. Our room was comfortable, shower is tiny and the water pressure was awful. All in I give it a 5/10 and that’s what I get for expecting more from $450+ a night!

Worst hotel breakfast I have ever had. The staff were rude, dismissive, busy talking to themselves, playing games or shopping online (not sure which). Breakfast buffet was cold dried out potatoes, gooey scrambled eggs, and half cooked bacon. Asked for some crisp bacon, which ticked off the waitress who finally brought some bacon that had been burned to a brittle inedible mess that disintegrated when touched. The waitresses were either dismissive and rude or smart-alecky including the restaurant manager. The room was clean but the room was inefficient, uncomfortable, and had one desk chair that was all. When I called to get a 2nd desk chair, they were not happy but got one eventually.

Glad we didn’t use anything else!! Not the way to get someone to become a member!!!Paid the same price in San Antonio at the Mokara and was worth every penny. We didn’t have to do anything they got our ice brought us complimentary fruit treated us EXCELLENT and that was the first time we ever stayed there. Valet was included in the room. Needless to say we WILL NOT stay at Double Tree or a Hilton again if this is their idea of 5 star.

I highly recommend this location to anyone looking to spend a quality time for a vacation or business trip.

I had an 4am check out and I believe his name was Mr. Brian King. The front desk person was on lunch and Mr. King was manning the desk and helped me get out of the parking area and allowed me back to my room to get a jacket that i left in the closet. Don't believe that was his job but handled both situations with professionalism!

The entirety was very enjoy. The room was very comfortable and the food was great.

I didn’t eat breakfast. A light dinner off the appetizer menu was excellent. Wendy st the hostess stand was warm and accommodating. Newer facility still coming together with smooth operation of food service but working diligently to iron out the wrinkles.

Super nice hotel! The staff is absolutely great. No complaints at all.
